Nowadays, more and more people are affected by mental disorder issues such as higher stress levels, depression, and even more desperate is the growing number of people who commit suicide. Some people believe this is disgrace and scourage to a social environment, so the only solution is to get these people to isolated and exiled. However, I think it's quite wrong because we don't know the full extent of the person's depression. Perhaps taking them to isolation would only make matters worse for them to feel distant from her family. Taking them directly to the isolation and destroying them from their families would unfairly add to the worse psychics. The isolation of a person with a mental disorder can become a negative act as a mental disorder of a human being unlike physical disorder, it can happen to anyone, and also because it can happen through social media.
First, mental disorder is no ordinary disease and that's different from physical disorder. Mental disorder relates to one's self as an individual who belongs to a particular social group. Often mental disorder is due to environmental effects greater than those inside of oneself. Mental disorder results from a person's condition. For example, when someone has a problem, no one will listen and motivate him. So he felt as if he were exiled, estranged, and disowned from his environment (Todor, 2013). Since physical disorder is hard to observe, we should be able to recognize its symptoms as a form of care for our environment.
Another important point is that, mental disorder can take anyone. The most vulnerable are those on the threshold of poverty. Financial problems are not the unpredictable reason for mental disorder because this has happened to most people. A family bound to poverty will find it hard to get a high education, good health care, or even social inferiority within a group (Sederer, 2015). Therefore, it's very likely that there's mental disorder in them. In addition, other social problems also can trigger depression. For instance, underemployed, the death of a loved one, and also divorce are meaningful life pressures for someone. In short, people of any group can experience mental disorder often with problems arising.
On the other hand, I understand that alienating person who has mental disorders is necessary for reality, but mental disorders are happening not only through the real world but also on social media so that if we try to achieve them, it would be like doing nothing. Most of us use social media through our smartphones or gadgets to connect with each other. Especially since the covid pandemic 19, all learning is carried out online and mainly involves social media. Social media may help us in the learning process, but use it for the long term instead of dismissing us as we should; we see less worthwhile things. For example, we saw our friend on story Instagram who was shopping for branded or on vacation. And also, the negative impact of social media is increasing during pandemics (Saptandari, 2020). This raises new mental disorder such as cyberbullying, depression, and anxiety to see posts of happier friends than we are, also disorder insecurity of inadequacy of your life or appearance (Robinson & Smith, 2021). As long as we use social media, such mental disorder will be difficult for us to avoid.
To sum up, although the isolation of people who have mental disorders had some positive effects, it has also been exacerbated to one thing, as well as to the fact that anyone can be affected by mental illness. Since mental disorder is linked to a person's psychological state, then it must be with a sincere heart and try to understand him and his problems. There are also the effects of new problems not only through the real world, but also through cyberspace. As communities embrace all groups in the everyday environment of life, those with disorder mental should not be excluded; to exclude people who are severely depressed from social circles can legitimately make injustice to them. What we need is to keep our minds positive and our ability to solve problems.
